The AACE program can assist you to upgrade your skills though the Literacy and Basic Skills Program (LBS) or to get your Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) through the Credit Granting Program.

Classes are held at the Resource Centre (adjacent to the Band Office) and is open:  Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays between the hours of 9:30 am – 2:30 pm.

Literacy and Basic Skills Program (LBS)

The LBS program helps adults, 19 years of age or older, to achieve their goals through support and training.  In the LBS classes we will work together to take care of the whole person.

We will work one on one with you as you choose your goal path

  1. Secondary School Credit
  2. Employment
  3. Apprenticeship
  4. Independence in today’s world

We will then work with you to develop a learning plan that you are happy with, that will meet your goals, and be relevant to you.

The LBS Program can help you to upgrade your skills in:

  1. Computer Technology
  2. Reading
  3. Writing
  4. Mathematics
  5. Finances and Budgeting
  6. Time Management
  7. Goal Setting
  8. Working with Others

Credit Granting Program

The Credit Granting Program helps adults to earn their high school diploma.

If you are 18 years or older and need to finish high school courses to get your Grade 12 diploma, we can help.

For a lot of older adults who are eligible for maturity credits, they may be only 4 courses away from their diploma.  Is that you?

If you are need of grade 9 and 10 credits you could be eligible to take the PLAR Assessments and have a jump start to getting your diploma!
