Welcome to
Aamjiwnaang First Nation

We are a First Nations community of about 2500 Chippewa Aboriginal peoples. We are located on the St. Clair River, in the city limits of Sarnia southwestern Ontario, Canada. Our heritage language is Ojibwa.

The name Aamjiwnaang, (pronounced am-JIN-nun) means “at the spawning stream.”

The Chippewa Tribe-Une is an Aamjiwnaang First Nation community information newsletter that advertises and informs the community about issues and events happening in and around Aamjiwnaang.

Health

E’Mino Bmaad-Zijig Gamig provides health services in a holistic and culturally sensitive manner to all band and community members through promotion, prevention, protection and education.
