The Environmental Commissioner of Ontario, Dianne Saxe, released a report today at Queen’s Park titled “Good Choices, Bad Choices”. Aamjiwnaang is featured in Chapter 3 – Environmental Injustice: Pollution and Indigenous Communities. Section 3.3 she writes about air pollution in Aamjiwnaang. Chief Roger’s along with Councillors Sherri Crowley, Darren Henry and Coordinator of Environment, Sharilyn Johnston traveled to Queen’s Park to be in attendance for release of this report. Chief Rogers said that “Commissioner Dianne Saxe truly captured the concerns of Aamjiwnaang in this report.” Here is a link to the section in the Report.
